Director, Butte County Department of Public Health
Cathy Raevsky has worked in Public Health for the past 35 years at both the State and Local level in Colorado, California and Michigan. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and has been active in national efforts to establish an accreditation program for state, tribal, local and territorial health departments.
Cathy is committed to improving the health of the community by working with partners to ensure the community gets the services they need and want. She works to strengthen families by bringing groups together around common themes and reaching consensus around common goals, as was done with the Community Health Needs Assessment and the Community Health Improvement Plan.
She graduated from Baylor University and received a Certificate in Program Management from the University of Colorado. She has been a Commissioner since March of 2013 when she joined the Butte County Public Health Department.
