Kindergarten Teacher Survey

The purpose of the Kindergarten Teacher Survey is to provide Commissioners with information that enables them to make the best possible decisions about investing in programs and services for young children so that they will be well-prepared for school and beyond.

In 2005, the Commission conducted its first survey of kindergarten teachers throughout the county, designed to assess and monitor the level of school readiness among incoming kindergarten students.  In 2008, the Commission contracted with Gloria Wyeth of Wyeth Consulting to conduct the survey for a second time.  Very minimal changes were made to the survey, other than to redesign the format to make it more easily completed by the teachers.  The survey was conducted again by Wyeth Consulting in the fall of 2010, with no additional changes.  The most recent survey was conducted in the fall of 2012 by Wyeth Consulting.  The results of the 2012 survey can be viewed below:
