Discretionary Funds Mini Grants

Mini-grants are available at this time.

The Commission intends to allocate $15,000 per year as discretionary funds. The purpose of these funds is to allow the Commission flexibility to consider and respond to needs and opportunities that arise during the budget year that are consistent with the goals as described in the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan. The Commission may use the funds as Targeted Spending (i.e., Commission-initiated) or it may award the funds via the Mini-Grant Proposal process, which requires that organizations requesting funds submit an Application and Scope of Work form to the Commission.

Professional Development Awards

Professional Development Awards are available at this time.

First 5 Butte County intends to allocate up to $6,000 per year in professional development awards for local professionals and involved parent residents to attend trainings, workshops, summits, or conferences that directly impact an organization’s ability to deliver quality services aligned with the Commission’s three Initiatives (Health, Family Strengthening, and Systems Strengthening).

Before applying for funds please read the Commission’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan and Professional Development Award Policy (see below).
