COMMISSIONER
Accompanying his grandmother, uncle and aunt, Seng S. Yang came to the United States of America in 1989 as a refugee after the Vietnam War, with a limited English background. Seng’s family moved to Oroville, where he has lived since.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Chico State with a BA in Liberal Studies in 1999, Seng earned an MA in Education from Fielding Graduate University in 2004. He now serves as Director for the Hmong Cultural Center of Butte County. Seng lives with his wife and enjoys walks and working in his garden.
