The First 5 Family Center Foundations (formerly Lakeside) is located in Oroville. This Center provides many opportunities and resources to families including educational classes for caregivers, playgroups, story time, and connection to local resources. All programs and services are free to all interested families, caregivers, and friends that play a role in a child's life.

Caring Connections is a support group for new and expectant parents. Listen, learn and share your experiences with other parents in a comfortable, supportive and child-friendly environment.

Connect with other parents and learn how to support your child's growth! Pop-In Playtime is open to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Parent educators will be available for questions and developmental screeners.

Diaper Requests

Families in need of diapers are encouraged to complete a diaper request form to ensure the correct sizes are available. Diapers may also be picked up during drop-in hours on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Drop-In Services

Drop-in hours are offered on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. During this time, families may access a variety of concrete supports, including diapers, wipes, clothing, toys, safety supplies, and additional resources.


ASQ Screenings

Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) are available to support families in monitoring their child’s development. Screenings may be completed during Pop-In Playtime (See Calendar for days and times.) or scheduled by appointment.

Appointments can be made by phone or email.
